YSL launches its new look, Bleus Lumiere. Inspired by the blues that were dear to Monsieur Saint Laurent himself, the look is a burst of aquatic tones from a fountain in Paris, the endless azure of sky and sea, and the sculpting light colours from Paris’ Tuileries Garden and Morocco’s Majorelle Garden.
Lloyd Simmons, Creative Director Makeup Yves Saint Laurent Beaute, created some stunning looks inspired by the movements of mirroring the sun, and in a play of chiaroscuro celebrates the way blue is exalted by its complimentary colours. Pop colours, flashes of orange and golden light, contrasts the cool azure.
For the Summer Look 2014, YSL offers a brand new eye Couture Palette, a harmony of 5 ready-to-wear colours to be discovered in a precious case with graphic lines. Three aquatic blues, Majorelle, Celadon, Aegean are contrasted with two sunny shades, a perfect pink and a hot coral.
The new Baby Doll Kiss & Blush is the all new, dual colour play and colours cheeks and lips with a single product. A hybrid innovation, the Baby Doll Kiss & Blush boasts a new formula, the results of a fusion of two technologies: foundation and lipstick. The air-whipped formula boasts an airy light texture that gives a velvety soft matte finish with luminosity. Available in 12 pop colours, there is sure to be an irresistable shade to create a colour flush on lips and cheeks.
The range also includes new shades for Dessin Du Regard Waterproof liner. The lighter shade, N12 Bleu Lumiere illuminates the inner corners of the eyes or can be used as an eyeliner for an icy look. The darker shade, N13 Bleu Egee structures the shape of the eyes and is used like a kohl to intensify the eyes.
La Laque Couture also brings a pop of colour to the nals in N50 Bleu Celadon, a fresh vibrant colour on light skin or a flash of colour on tanned skin, and the N51 Bleu Cyclades is a deep mysterious blue to heighten copper jues on the skin.
The new YSL Bleu Lumiere range is available from 1 June 2014 from your nearest YSL counter at Myer, David Jones and selected pharmacies.
