Inventor number two was Chrétien de Troyes, who justified the opinion that love was invented by poets. He is the author of the image of the Beautiful Lady of the 12th century version. Its idea is that love courtship is not intended to seduce, but is a spiritual practice. The hero of his novel, Lancelot, devoted his life to a woman with whom he did not at all intend to enter into a relationship. He sings of love and serves love. Of the authors of love of the New Age, it is worth mentioning Spinoza, who contrasts love and passion, it is thanks to him that we feel love as overcoming affect and gaining freedom in a new quality. That is, lovers are guided not by enjoying each other, but by gaining a third quality that will allow them to rise above their affects.
