Celebrating its fourth consecutive year, Volley’s limited-edition ‘Wear It With Pride’ collection is about standing alongside the rainbow community to celebrate equality and inclusivity. To commemorate the release, Volley has enlisted singer-songwriter G-Flip (also known as Georgia Flipo) to front the campaign, launching this week.
A proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community and long-time wear of Volley’s iconic sneakers, G-Flip was a natural fit for the campaign.
“Volleys were the first shoes I remember growing up. Everyone had Volleys at primary school, I have fond memories of playing four square and basketball in my international pink lows. Now it’s 2021 and Volleys are making these awesome pride sneakers so anyone, no matter who you are, where you’re from, what you do, who you love, your gender identity, you can rep your pride loudly on your feet, which in my opinion is pretty cool from one of Australia’s oldest sneaker brands,” remarks G-Flip (Georgia Flipo).
Taking it’s Ally-ship of the rainbow community to the next level, Volley has teamed up with a number of creatives to amplify LGBTQIA+ voices and stories. The all-star line-up includes the likes of former Cosmopolitan Magazine Editor and popular stylist, Deni Todorovic plus Tik-Tok star Samantha Andrew and Cody McDonnell, musician Lakyn Tarai and their partner Emma White, model Ange Yu and Andy Kelly of podcast ‘Radical Fashionism.’ This year, Volley has expanded the Pride range to be more diverse, introducing the Volley Logo Pride Tee and the Heritage Low and Mid Sock in the Trans Flag colours.
Volley’s ‘Wear It With Pride’ 2021 collection is available to purchase online at https://volley.com.au/ with prices ranging from $14.99 to $139.99. $5.00 from every Pride sneaker and t-shirt sold will be donated to Wear it Purple, a charity that
supports the adolescent LGBTQIA+ community.
