Viktoria and Woods have shot their Rapture SS14 collection with emerging model Matilda Dodds, photographer Stephen Ward and styling by Mark Vassalo.
The label has been going from strength to strength, collaborating with Lindy Klim on a capsule collection last season, the addition of David Jones to their stockist list and the opening of their first flagship store on High Street in Armadale.
From the time Viktoria + Woods launched in 2005, their approach was simple- to create effortless wardrobe staples with a pared-down, contemporary feel. At the heart of the label is their signature merino collection that helped launch the brand almost 10 years ago. Since then, the offering has expanded to include silks, gauze weaves, cottons, chunky home spun knits and tailored separates. Viktoria + Woods continue to develop their collections each season, injecting new fabrics and styles that they believe are essential for women serious about developing a functional and quality wardrobe that reflects both their lifestyle and appreciation for designer fashion.
This season we see a consistent palette of creamy neutrals, offset with shades of blue and pink. The pinks are pure in pigment, providing easy wearing hues, while the blues have a pale aquatic fee, like shades of a clear ocean. The use of leather within the Viktoria + Woods line adds a luxurious element, taking shape in longline bodices and a classic biker. Staple black and white stripes create a sports luxe vibe, while a graphic leopard print turns a classic concept into a strong statement.
