Beauty continued to shine on the runway when Elle presented Runway 4 featuring YB J’aime by Yeojin Bae, LIFEwithBIRD, Ginger & Smart, Michael Lo Sordo, Kahlo and Bianca Spender.
Hair by L’Oreal Professionnel
VAMFF Hair director Brad Ngata, for L’Oreal Professionnel, created beautiful, effortless waves mixed with strict front part.
“The hair for show has opposing textures and a playful relaxed movement at the back and also a strict part in the front. The different textures are positioned in a way so that when the girls are walking down the catwalk, you get this beautiful high shine visible at the front and dry matte texture through the waves at the back – uptown in the front and downtown in the back,” explains Ngata.
Brad gave us the lowdown on creating these waves at home.
- This look can be created by double moussing your hair with L’Oreal Professional Tecni.Art Volume Life. Apply the mousse to the roots and work through the ends. Repeat this process then dry the hair off. Using your eyebrow as a guide, create a side part and smooth the top lengths.
- Tuck the hair behind your ears and then use your curling tong to curl your hair in sections.
- To create top shine, use a heavy dose of L’Oreal Professionnel Tecni.Art Crystal Gloss. Then spray L’Oreal Professionnel Tecni.Art Fresh Dust dry shampoo to the curls and mid section, gently shaping the waves with a soft brush.
- To hold it all in place, spray with L’Oreal Professionnel Infinium hairspray.
