As the home for a totally unique retail and leisure experience, it only makes sense that Melbourne’s GPO would team up again with The Jacky Winter Group to host a fabulous charity exhibition that links fashion, fine art and photography.
The ‘True Self’ exhibition will feature ten beautiful fine-art photographs; the works are collaborative pieces between the visual artists and photographers after they were tasked with the theme of positive self-image. Contemporary Australian creatives including visual aritsts Beci Orpin, Tin&Ed and Kate Tucker, and photographers Derek Henderson, Sean Fennessy and Jesse Marlow will be participating in this year’s exhibition.
The original large-scale, collaborative works will be sold via a silent auction with all funds going to the not-for-profit organisation, Fitted For Work, that helps disadvantaged women dress the part for job interviews. They have helped over 6,500 women to date.
So pop the dates in your diary, and make it a point to see these unique pieces themselves, in the gorgeous setting of Melbourne’s GPO.
The ‘True Self’ Exhibition will be on display at Melbourne’s GPO from Friday 31st May until Sunday June 23rd.
