Warm summer nights – we love them because of the warm weather, the long nights but now there is another reason to love them more with the start of the South Melbourne night markets every Thursday until 10 March. Now in its seventh year and set amongst the beautiful Victorian street-scape on Cecil and Coventry Streets in South Melbourne, the Night Market has become a must-do on the events calendar for southern city slickers and north-siders intrigued by the other side.
For ten glorious weeks, the city’s oldest Market transforms at twilight into a magical night market, offering street food, copious stalls, eclectic entertainment and music in one big cultural feast.
Couturing had the pleasure of attending the launch of the night markets last Thursday evening and it was night full of food and fun delight!
With plenty of food options available be sure to try a slider on a beautiful brioche bun from Sliders on Tyres, try Proper and Son for a modern menu with a new twist or some authentic Turkish cuisine at Koy restaurant all the while enjoying live bands performances in all corners of the market – they’re be something that suits your taste!
