A free virtual business expo for women aims to help connect small businesses with the best in the industry during a week of motivating activities next week. The Hey Poppy B2B Virtual Expo, to be held from October 25-30th, will feature key-note speakers including entrepreneur and Collective Hub founder Lisa Messenger; Bandit Design branding expert Mikeila Schneckenbach; Mia Fileman of DIY marketing platform Idiello; social media guru Monique Lombardo from The Socialista and Jess Ruhfus from Collabosaurs and three business focused podcast episodes created in collaboration with HayleyPayne from The Daily Pretty.
“The expo is designed for small business owners or anyone with an interest in starting a business to get motivated, excited and learn from some of the incredible expert speakers we have lined up,” Hey Poppy founder Amy Marshall says.
“One of the biggest challenges for small business owners is find the right resources and partners to work with as they grow and expand, or even to assist in those business areas which might not be their expertise. To have a range of businesses & experts all on our app that is easy to use will help small
businesses see the amount of incredible services and platforms there are that want to help and support them. The aim is to help those attending elevate their own business and introduce them to businesses that can help them do this.”
“At the Virtual Expo participants will be able to view businesses by category, connect to our closed Facebook ‘speaker’s room’ and download our e-mag with all the businesses you want access to. As well as the exciting and informative interviews and guest speakers, there will also be special offers throughout the week.”
Amy says the online expos, which can be accessed for free through her Hey Poppy app, will each have a have a theme & will be held quarterly.
The Hey Poppy app is a virtual directory of small businesses which helps to connect them to consumers via business profiles, discounts and promotions.
Consumers can search by business category, save lists and link directly to the current businesses listings & their promotions. The free app, which has grown an audience of close to 3,500 users since it was launched in March, allows businesses to submit their business profile which they can edit anytime to promote, events, competitions or special offers and watch it go live to a database of consumers.
As well as connecting business to consumers, Hey Poppy also looks to support small businesses through advice and coaching on social media. To access the Hey Poppy B2B Virtual Expo in October, simply download the Poppy app via the App Store or Google Play or join the expo Facebook group:
