Absolut put the ‘Art’ into party last week as it transformed new Melbourne hot spot, The Manhattan Lounge, for an Australian first initiative called The Blue Room by Absolut.
The Blue Room saw influential artists showcase originality in all forms: Sampology (VJ), Dion Hortsman (Sculpture) Emma Mulholland (Fashion) and Jimmy McGilchrist (Digital Art Pioneer). Each collaborated with a select number of consumers to create the ultimate p‘ART’y experience for the unveiling of Absolut Vodka’s newest limited edition bottle for 2013, Absolut Originality.
Absolut invited a host of Melbourne’s most artistic, influential and upbeat socialites joined the crème del la crème of the fashion and art industry to experience the first of many events designed to transform venues around the country.
Guests arrived to a blue carpet extending through the bottle shaped walkway and into the venue which was completely transformed for the night. Once inside guests enjoyed a selection of bespoke cocktails aptly titled Absolut Deep Blue Sea and Absolut Blue Rinse Brigade.
A highlight of the night saw Sampology, Australia’s leading Audio Visual DJ perform a musical and visual experience that was creatively edgy, original and honored the blue theme of the night and it’s inspiration, the Absolut Originality bottle.
