Stella Artois celebrates its festive heritage with an intimate Christmas celebration in Melbourne. Originally brewed for the holidays, Stella Artois was crafted as a gift for the people of Leuven, Belgium and named after the holiday star. Held at the private residence of leading Australian architect, Rob Mills, guests were welcomed into the luxurious space for an evening which highlighted the importance of incredible craftsmanship in design, food and of course, beer.
In attendance on the night was international model Jarrod Scott, Australian actress Isabel Durant and Australian actor David Berry who were joined by a range of celebrities, media and VIPs to celebrate at the award winning Armadale Residence. Once a cardboard factory, Rob Mills transformed the building into an experiential home, showcasing his holistic approach, attention to detail, and layered, high-end interiors.
As part of the experience, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal’s Head Chef, Evan Moore, created a custom tasting menu in collaboration with Chef Director Ashley Palmer-Watts highlighting the spectrum of flavours in the renowned beer. “We have created a canapé menu that captures a lot of what’s great about dining at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal. We’ve featured some of the restaurant’s iconic dishes which we’ve transformed into smaller portions such as our iconic Meat Fruit on brioche.” said Evan Moore. Along with the incredible Meat Fruit, guests enjoyed Dinner by Heston Blumenthal’s Duck & Beetroot Crackers, a Summer Tart with lovage emulsion and smoked kingfish belly and the Crispy Chicken Skin with burnt onion mayonnaise and grilled shitake.
At the end of the night, Evan wheeled out Dinner’s popular Nitro Ice Cream cart, serving ice cream topped with custom Christmas toppings including gingerbread crumble and crisp raspberry with caramelized white chocolate.
