Dr. Martens have long been at the forefront of music and fashion colliding, and are hosting an exclusive pop up store from today, with one night stands from some of Australia’s best bands leading up to the opening.
Taking over Lulu Bar in St Kilda, one of Melbourne’s most musically iconic suburbs for one week only, you’ll be able to shop exclusive and limited edition pieces from the iconic brand. Celebrating Dr. Martens’ tradition of rebellious self-expression, prepare for a unique experience only Dr. Martens can deliver.
At the three night launch party, ballot winners and media were invited to celebrate the spirit of the brand, helped out with sets from Stonefield, Kingswood, and Band of Skulls. One of the best touches came from a projected fashion film, inter splicing the latest collection with tweets from the hashtag #standforsomething.
While there was a heavy presence of the iconic Dr. Martens boot in the pop up shop, it was not all that was on offer. Heeled boots, loafers, accessories, and Union Jack plastered socks all featured throughout the store, showing the brand is not afraid of expanding their collections, but all in keeping with the tradition and quality expected of them.
To see the brilliant space for yourself, the pop up shop can be found at 18 Grey Street, St Kilda, and is open now through Sunday. To find out more about Dr. Martens, visit drmartens.com.
