SPLASH INTO SUMMER AT THE ADELPHI ROOFTOP POOL

The Adelphi Hotel’s Flinders Lane rooftop will host a pop-up poolside bar on Sunday afternoons through summer for the second year running. Until the end of February, Melburnians can cool down with a cocktail by the iconic Adelphi pool that juts out over Flinders Lane.

It will be the last chance for rooftop lovers to experience the famous Adelphi pool before it undergoes a total refurbishment.

Bartenders will serve a range of retro cocktails and drinks from sponsors including Chandon, Pimms, Peroni, Midori, Jose Cuervo, and Melbourne-based organic drink company StrangeLove. Adelphi bartenders, led by Daniel Ferreira have given the cocktail menu a shake up in preparation for the pop up bar, including ‘Mr Adelphi’s Lamington’, the ‘Ghostwood’, ‘Spicy Amigo’, and ‘Boutique Lucky 7’.

“Our cocktails have the full summer flavour you crave in the heat, with all the colours of the rainbow that make them look just as appealing as they taste,” said Daniel. “The cocktails will really complement the backdrop of the Melbourne skyline. There’s nothing better than a summer afternoon on a rooftop bar in the city.”

Adelphi rooftop pop-up sessions will be fully ticketed. People can book their tickets via MyGuest – with entry including a cocktail and food platter on arrival.

For those in for the long haul there will be a selection of food from Om Nom Kitchen & Dessert Bar available for purchase.

Pop up bar sessions start at 12pm on Sundays through January and February 2016. Capacity is limited, so make sure you book to steal the best poolside position.

Pop-up rooftop bar at Adelphi Hotel (18 and over event) – $30 includes entry, food plate and cocktail of choice on arrival (pre-booked online only). $20 tickets can be purchased on day, but no food or drink is included.
