Social media means that there is constant pressure to look great these days as you never know who is going to want to snap a pic of you for the gram! Dior have taken the hard work out of making your skin looking on point, with their new Dior Backstage line.

Dior Backstage is the first makeup line inspired by backstage at a fashion show and has been designed by Peter Philips, Dior’s esteemed Creative and Image Director for Makeup. “Dior Backstage is a line that draws its inspiration from my work backstage”, said Peter of the line. “It includes all my essentials in neutral shades with professional, adjustable formulas, allowing you to work with every skin tone.”

One of the things you always notice about models on the runway is that their skin looks flawless without looking heavy. Dior have nailed the formula for their foundations. It glides on to your skin so lightly, it feels like you aren’t even wearing makeup. It’s easily buildable so you can adjust it to whatever coverage you like. I would recommend applying one layer with your fingers for a light coverage, and 2 layers with a brush or 3 layers with a brush for fuller coverage. It also does a great job of minimising pores while not sitting and caking in fine lines. The finish is slightly matt, but doesn’t look too heavy on your skin.

The highlighters dust on smoothly and offer an out of this world glow to your skin. The luxe palettes also make it easy to mix and match depending on whether you want a more rosy highlight or bronze highlight.

The collection certainly lives up to the hype and is well worth the investment. The results are so good, you won’t even need a filter!
