There is only one place to be on Saturday 10 January, 2015 and that is at the Portsea Polo. Once again the beautiful coastline at Portsea will play host to one of Australia’s most anticipated events. Sponsored by Jeep in association with Peroni Nastro Azzurro, the Portsea Polo event is a day of world-class polo, beauty and glamour in an amazing Portsea setting.
For the third year running, Peroni Nastro Azzurro is a supporting partner to the 2015 Portsea Polo and will host 400 VIPs, media and celebrities in a custom built ‘Italian Riviera’ style marquee. Polo-goers will have a chance to enjoy the match from the custom built marquee where the main bar and viewing deck will sit approximately 2 metres high, giving guests the ultimate view of all the polo action on the field.
The global face of Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Natalia Borges, will be attending the polo and will delight guests at the Peroni marquee with her unique take on being the face of such an renowned brand.
For those wanting to secure their place in the fashion stakes but perplexed as to what the dress code of “summer casual” actually means, it can be interpreted masterfully with crisp tailoring if you’re a man and for the ladies, chic shirtmaker cotton sundresses or playsuits for those who dare. Colours that are expected to grace the polo sidelines include gelato colours like marshmallow pink, caramel, mint, lemon and tan-enhancing blues from cobalt to collegiate navy reign supreme, and that’s just for the gentlemen. Slim-fit cuffed shorts, chinos, boat shoes and rolled up sleeves on linen and check shirts add to the relaxed vibe. It’s clean and casual and more yacht club than dance club. As would be expected of a sport underpinned by such a rich heritage, timeless, understated relaxed dressing is more acceptable than flashy threads.
