Scott Eastwood, son of Hollywood legend Mr Clint Eastwood, has just collaborated with luxury mens e-tailer MR PORTER, exclusively shot, styled and interviewed for the latest issue of The Journal. Shot by Randall Mesdon and interviewed by Chris Elvidge, the piece reveals while family is very important to him, Mr Eastwood is determined to make his own way in Hollywood without relying on his last name. Having recently appeared in WWII tank movie Fury with Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf, 2015 sees Scott starring in The Longest Ride from author Nichols Sparks and performing duties as the face of Davidoff COOL Water – definitely one to watch!
Speaking about his famous family, he is quick to point out that he and his siblings were instilled with a strong work ethic. “I’ve been brought up to understand that you’ve gotta make your own way in life. My dad… he isn’t the kinda guy to give hand-outs. He’s old-school like that.”
It was this reasoning that led him to begin his career using his mother’s maiden name, Reeves, and lead an unassuming life far from Hollywood in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, a southern California seaside town north of San Diego.
With his strong resemblance to his father more prevalent than ever, anonymity is no longer an option, but as Scott reintegrates, “Family has always been important…but I am making it by myself.”
