Ariel Tejadal, the renowned makeup artist, visited Melbourne last month to showcase his collaboration with Morphe and share his top beauty tips at a special event with MECCA. The Morphe x Ariel collection is a natural extension of Ariel, created to give users a brush range to transform the makeup routine. His goal was to design brushes that are both effortless to use and time-saving, making them perfect for everyday users. Ariel envisioned a collection that is not only affordable but also exudes a luxurious feel, ensuring that every brush feels like a high-end tool in your hands.
In developing the range with Morphe, he explained that the brand espoused values that aligned with his own and that working so closely with the Morphe design team ensured that each piece reflected his vision of an effortless, usable, and luxurious tool. Ariel favors natural brush fibers, which are known for their superior performance and durability. Among his top picks from the collection are his essential range of five brushes, with the foundation and blush brushes being his personal favorites.
One of the most unique aspects of Ariel’s brush range is the numbering system, which holds special significance in his life. Each number represents an important aspect of his journey, with a particular tribute to his family. The foundation brush, for instance, is numbered to commemorate his mother’s birthday, underscoring the deep personal connection he has infused into this collection. Ariel’s dedication to his craft and his loved ones is evident in every detail, making this range not just functional but also meaningful.
Ariel was asked about his favourite product at the moment and he shared his love of blush. Enamored with the blush from the Huephoric Rush 3-In-1 Silk Blush in the shade Hypnotized, he revealed his pro tip in applying this to create a natural look – apply the blush higher on the side of the face (higher than the traditional apple of the cheek) and blend using the blush brush base up the cheek and then following through distributing the product through the tip of the brush so the fibres to create a more natural and blended look.
When asked about his all-time favorite look, he reflected on the one he created for Kylie Jenner’s stunning appearance at the CFDA Fashion Awards where he commented that there was not one bad photo from the event and it was his favourite hands down.
