You will be picked up and given a tour across the hills of the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve in a luxurious, open top Mercedes G-Wagon, where you will get the chance to see some of Dubai’s exotic wildlife in their natural habitat. You will be treated to a falconry demonstration from an expert handler which will not only give you a rare insight into the process undertaken to train these birds of prey, but will give you a first hand glimpse at these majestic creatures in full flight.
After the falconry display, you will be escorted to a heritage style camp, where you’ll be greeted with a traditional Emirati coffee and a hand wash with beautiful scented rose water. You be given the chance to experience a traditional Bedouin experience by being treated to a range of delicious, authentic Emirati cuisine while being entertained with customary performances and dancing.
You also have the chance to have your hands decorated with intricate henna designs, something which is common practice in Emirati culture, and a traditional way to decorate the body for religious ceremonies and celebrations. One of the highlights is the chance to ride a camel, something you mustn’t miss! These docile creatures were used in olden days by Emirati people to navigate their way through the harsh conditions of the desert. My only tip is to hold on tight when the camels are standing up and sitting down as the experience can be a little bumpy!
