As the weather gets warmer, the drinks get colder, and the people start shopping. Local fashion brand, Limedrop launched their pop up shop in the heart of Melbourne Central just in time for Christmas. As the shoppers try to nut out their Christmas shopping in one place, Limedrop has shoppers coming back for more.
The open environment of the boutique displays a variety of Limedrop’s most recent collection, Avant Gardener, including 80s style Perspex sunglasses and eclectic handmade accessories. It gives lovers of the already popular Melbourne label the ability to have an in-store experience, and for new Melbournians, a chance to soak up the wonderful colour, creativity and detail each item has. Being online, it can be hard to fully grasp the essence of the product as you flick through different images and angles, it can be something we take for granted, the ability to go into a store and touch, feel and connect with the product, and the designer, especially such a boutique label.
The launch was met with colour and excitement, Clea Garrick, Limedrop’s founder and designer greeted guests as they gazed at the intricacy and detail put into such a small space, although compact, gives the feeling of openness and the vibe of a small market stall, its uplifting and vibrant charm entices you in.
Limedrop’s designer, Clea’s love for rainbows (who is now rocking a homemade miso tattoo) is easy to see, with an abundance of products and displays of colour, and life throughout the small space, with every look, there’s something unseen.
Limedrop’s pop-up shop is open until February on level 2 Melbourne Central, near Gorman.
