Last night was the runway show for Kookai’s 2012 Autumn/Winter collection Hotel Particulier – Somewhere in Paris. Held at the beautiful Luminare rooftop in South Yarra, the evening was hosted by Directors of Kookai Australia and New Zealand, Rob Cromb and Danielle Vagner. This season’s collection was inspired by the pair’s first trip to Paris just over 20 years ago. Falling in love with the hustle and bustle of Parisian life, the unique characters and iconic fashion, this also marked the start of Rob and Danielle’s relationship with Kookai.

This season’s AW12 collection commemorates the milestone of 20 years of Kookai in Australia. Inspired by Parisian style, the collection captures the eclectic contrasts of rich jewel tones mixed with textured quality fabrications. Classic black fabrics in Italian leather, merino wool and printed silks, were accented with rich teals, bright reds and bright yellows.

Necklines were decorated with delicate feather detailing and long chiffon draping added a touch of drama to short hemlines. Tony Bianco provided bright boots and curved heeled pumps to complement the stylish collection.

Models walked the runway with loose, dropped waves, flawless foundation and a dramatic eye.
