To the celebrate Australian designer Josh Goot’s new SS11/12 collection, Green With Envyhosted an evening for VIP clients and media. Guests were treated to canapés, Laurent Perrier and San Pellegrino as they browsed Goot’s new collection. Five models wearing pieces from Goot’s new collection featured in a live installation in the Green With Envy window.
With bright colours, amazing prints and trademark mix of sleek and voluminous silhouettes, Goot’s SS 11/12 collection stays true to his fashion forward design aesthetic. Mixing pieces made from silk, with pieces made from jersey and cotton carefully processed and finished with crisscross stitching, one could be forgiven for thinking part of Goot’s collection was made from neoprene or wetsuit material. It’s this ability to push the boundaries of fashion that has seen Goot develop a loyal following not only in Australia, but overseas as well.
On hand to support Goot was Irene Nicholas, owner of Green With Envy, Emma van Haandel from EVHPR who presents Goot and Christine Centenera, Fashion Editor of AustralianHarper’s Bazaar.
Centenera, fresh from styling Kanye West’s new women collection at Paris Fashion Week looked effortlessly chic and was much different to the way she was portrayed on Australia’s Next Top Model. Really down-to-earth and taking the time to talk to everyone, it’s great to see an Australian Fashion Editor doing amazing things overseas.
Thank you Josh Goot, Green With Envy and EVHPR for hosting such a wonderful evening.
Make sure you visit Green With Envy to check out the new season Josh Goot pieces. They have commissioned some of the pieces from Goot’s collection exclusively for their stores.
