Japanese global apparel retailer, UNIQLO, is set to warm things up in Melbourne ahead of the first day of winter, with the launch of its ‘Down Town’ activation at Melbourne’s Federation Square.
From 31 May to 1 June, UNIQLO will take over Federation Square, transforming the space into an interactive hub of activity, encouraging visitors to immerse themselves in an all-encompassing experience that brings to life the core components of UNIQLO’s down collection colour, lightness and water-repellency.
UNIQLO Down Town will spark imagination, bringing three unique spaces to life – a blackout cube filled with moving light installations and mirrors to ignite the senses, before attendees jump their way through a giant, clear, bounce box. A colourful maze installation will await in the third space, situated beneath a rainwater exterior.
Tracey Lang, Marketing Director, UNIQLO Australia, believes UNIQLO Down Town is a must-attend event this winter. ”UNIQLO Down Town is jam packed with surprise and delight moments to help celebrate the start of winter! We first opened our doors in Melbourne five years ago, so it seems fitting to now hold this special event for Melbournians to enjoy,” Lang said.
UNIQLO Down Town is free to the public – so be sure to mark your calendars, as it’s a destination that must be seen to be believed!
UNIQLO Down Town running times:
– 12pm – 8pm, Friday 31st May
– 11am – 5pm, Saturday 1st June
