Leading beauty brand, Garnier has announced a new partnership with Australia’s favourite outdoor cinema, becoming the Official Green Partner and Beauty Sponsor of Moonlight Cinema for the 2020-21 Summer Season, showcasing Garnier’s efforts to make sustainable beauty accessible to all. As well as supporting Moonlight Cinema onsite with important education initiatives around recycling and sustainability, Garnier invites guests to visit the Garnier Garden Cart which will be onsite from January 2021, to find out more about Garnier’s commitments to ‘Greener Beauty’ and for some take-home goodies.
Commenting on the partnership, Garnier Marketing Director, Jane Hanger, said Moonlight Cinema’s sustainable-led initiatives demonstrated important business leadership and tied with Garnier’s own ‘Greener Beauty’ mission and its pledge to reduce its global environmental impact. “As part of Garnier’s ‘Greener Beauty’ initiative to transform every stage of our value chain, we are making a conscious decision to work with partners that share a collective commitment to create a sustainable future for the next generation. As Garnier works to transform the beauty industry, we are proud to support Moonlight in its ongoing efforts to preserve the environment in which it operates. The integration of paperless ticketing, recycling stations and the use of biodegradable materials at all venues as well as Moonlight Cinema’s partnership with World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), demonstrates a real commitment to sustainable business practices and values,” said Ms Hanger.
Marketing and Communications Manager of Moonlight Cinema, Nicola Whiteside, said “We are so excited to welcome Garnier as the Official Green Partner for our summer season. We operate in beautiful botanic parks with unique and delicate environments, and Garnier’s commitment to sustainability aligns perfectly with our goals to keep these spaces beautiful for years to come”.
In an effort to further educate consumers and promote sustainable habits, Garnier will also donate $2 for every ticket sold nationally from the Presenting Partner screenings of ‘I Am Greta’, to Australian non-profit, clean up movement, Take 3 For The Sea. “We encourage everyone to join us for a night under the stars for Moonlight Cinema’s special screening of ‘I Am Greta’. Not only will guests have the opportunity to share in Greta Thunberg’s international crusade to get people to listen to scientists on the world’s environmental problems, they’ll also be supporting Take 3 for the Sea, a truly inspiring organisation that works to reduce the impacts of plastic pollution and waste on our planet through educational programs,” said Ms Hanger.
Garnier’s Presenting Partner screenings of ‘I Am Greta’ will be held on 20 January, 2021. For Moonlight Cinema tickets and programming, visit: www.moonlight.com.au/
