POST OFFICE CLUB HOTEL LAUNCHES ‘SNACKS & TRACKS’ SUNDAY SESSION
Vibey St Kilda bistro, Post Office Club Hotel, is bringing the heat this winter, with the launch of ‘Snacks & Tracks’ — a weekly programme of tasty morsels and Melbourne’s finest vinyl DJs as they come together each Sunday for an afternoon of good food and good times, starting King’s Birthday weekend, June 11. Set to be Melbourne’s grooviest Sunday session, the weekly event will feature a ‘chef-snack’ inspired menu of popular Post Office Club Hotel small plates, as well as seasonal canapés and bites from gourmet kitchen and sister-brand Tommy Collins — all soundtracked by an epic line-up of vinyl selectors like local legends, DJ Wolfie, Archmellow and more.
The Snacks & Tracks menu is inspired by the hospo tradition of ‘chef-snacks’ – small morsels of offcuts that inspire chefs to blend new and often unusual flavours from on-hand ingredients. Punters are encouraged to settle into the cosy main bar and tuck into these intriguing small plates including; ‘parfait and pickles’, ‘beef and cured yolks’ and ‘oysters, smoked mussels and tarama’. Tommy Collins favourites such as their take on a fuku chicken sandwich round off the menu, designed to keep tummies full and energy levels high.
Kicking off from 3pm, the ‘Tracks’ are supplied by some of Melbourne’s finest vinyl talent, who’ll be found lugging their crates to The Postie’s bar-side decks, and spinning records alongside bar staff as they shake tins and pour pints long into the night.
Snacks & Tracks will run each Sunday from 3PM at St Kilda’s Post Office Club Hotel. Bookings and walk-ins welcome.
