Now that June is here, winter has truly set in. While this fills most Melbourians with joy as we grab our black coats, a little part of us longs for the warmer seasons. This is where QV Melbourne comes in. Taking over QV Square, the QV Tropical Retreat resembles an island-style resort, offering a refuge from the winter elements with plenty of activities to keep your mind off the rain.
Officially opening Wednesday, we were lucky enough to be treated to a preview ofwhat’s to come with cocktails, delicious food courtesy of the QV Square restaurants, and amazing entertainment. The retreat is filled with amazing tropical flowers and ferns, temperature controlled and even has a beach to truly bring the islands to the CBD. The Hibiscus Juice Bar gave us a taste of the tropics, with delicious resort-themed cocktails (and during the month, will play host to the cocktail master classes), and as the night came to a close, a Polynesian band and dancers took to the stage to complete the theme.
The QV Tropical Retreat is open now, and will run through until the 27th, offering dozens of resort themed activities including free lunches, DIY courses in rice paper rolls and cocktails, and lots more. For a full overview of what’s on, and more info on the retreat, visit qv.com.au.
