On a trip to Buenos Aires, a year ago in August, my Australian friends spent two weeks persuading me to visit Melbourne again. After a bit of soul searching and wondering why I was dead set on settling down and buying a house, I decided this year that if I was going to do it, it had to be now (I aint getting any younger). And so the flights were booked, Australia was calling, as was a two week trip in Thailand on the way (travel is always on the agenda).
I arrived into Melbourne in October and the past few weeks have already flown by in a heartbeat. Having previously studied in Melbourne eight years ago, I knew it was the city for me with its quirky cultural vibe, the friendly people and the diverse range of things to do. I spoke to a relative who lives out here who said “there’s always an event going on every day in Melbourne.” That’s exactly how I want the lifestyle section of Couturing to feel, a go to guide for events and posts on everything you need to know about a Melbourne lifestyle.
