Coach, a leading New York design house of modern luxury accessories and lifestyle brands, unveiled the company’s next generation retail concept in the city’s newest luxury retail precinct, St Collins Lane.
The new store design was developed by Coach Executive Creative Director, Stuart Vevers and in partnership with world-renowned creative firm Studio Sofield, led by Designer and President William Sofield. Drawing from a wide range of influences, the concept places a premium on contrasting textures and luxe materials.
The Coach St Collins Lane store will be the flagship with a 4,305 square foot space which is warm and inviting. The design reflects the sophisticated yet playful refinement of New York – the city the brand has always called home.
Main architectural elements include a two-story high glass-block façade supported by massive steel I-beams and bronze signage and logo. Throughout the space is a mix of custom-designed cabinetry fabricated from natural and ebonized ash, blackened steel, antique bronze and mahogany trim. The store interiors also consist of iron spot brick pavers, reclaimed heart-pine wood flooring with custom hand-tufted wool carpeting and statement mid-century furniture punctuating the elegant lines and muted colors. Reclaimed Wood Denver has a huge selection of reclaimed wood boards, perfect for accent walls, feature walls, wall covering and more!
Andrew Stanleick, President & CEO, South East Asia & Oceania stated, “Australia is a strategic market with great potential for Coach. The launch of our St. Collin’s flagship underlines our commitment to developing Coach in this market. It is a Modern Luxury concept store which serves as the perfect environment to showcase Stuart Vevers’ latest collection of stylish and sophisticated lifestyle products.”
Located on the ground floor of the St Collins Lane mall complex, the flagship will carry the widest range of product for the Australian market, offering categories that include women’s and men’s Coach NY leather goods, outerwear, footwear and accessories. The store will also be the first to stock ready-to-wear, leather goods and accessories from COACH 1941, the brand’s most elevated expression of Coach.
St Collins Lane will also feature a Craftsmanship Bar that will offer monogram services, expert repairs and complimentary cleaning. This will be the first craftsmanship bar in Australia and the service will bring to life Coach’s heritage and expertise in luxury craftsmanship and innovative design. Every Craftsmanship Bar Vitrine will have an assortment of one-of-a-kind iconic silhouettes from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, which beautifully demonstrate Coach’s 75 year history of leather craft. .
The Coach St Collins Lane store is located 260 St Collins Lane and is open daily from 10am – 7pm Monday to Wednesday, 10am – 9pm Thursday & Friday and 10am – 6pm on Sundays.
