High intensity spin classes, electric yin, deep house yoga and pressed juices served in martini glasses – Wellness Clubbing is the latest fitness trend to hit Melbourne and it is popping-up exclusively at the iconic nightlife hotspot, Bond Melbourne on July 6.
Brought to life by Bodhi & Ride, one of the newest fitness and wellness kids on the block – it’s changing the way we exercise and making it fun in the process. Set amongst the luxe gold and velvet backdrop of Bond Melbourne and with a variety of classes on offer, this is one exercise session you won’t want to miss.
Kicking off with Bodhi & Ride’s signature Ride class complete with hand weights, an exhilarating light show and set to the latest DJ remixed tunes, the instructor will have you hitting goals before you’ve even thought about lunch.
Heading into the afternoon, the space will be heated and reset for the Electric Yin and Bodhi Flow Yoga classes that will be set to deep house sounds and will leave you feeling refreshed and Zen. At the conclusion of each class, the Bodhi & Ride team will host a well-deserved after party complete with Kombucha, protein balls and clean eats provided by Matcha Maiden, Lains & Co, as well as Pressed Juices and other health brands from across town.
Keeping the positive vibes flowing throughout the day will be one of Bond’s resident DJ’s who will be mixing chilled beats and smooth tunes.
The Wellness Clubbing venture came to fruition when Bodhi & Ride owner Michaela Fellner decided she wanted to expand her vision and bring the studio into the city.
“Our studio is located in Port Melbourne and I wanted to give those in the city a chance to experience all that we have to offer in a really luxe environment. We are taking health and wellness to the next level by creating an immersive experience with a strong focus on music and choreography, which is known to enhance enjoyment and your mood,” she said.
“City workers are caught in the hustle and bustle for up to 10 hours a day and I wanted to offer them the chance just to stop, take care of and treat themselves. We have designed the classes so guests can be in and out within an hour if they need to be back at work – it’s just like an express workout”
Like Bodhi & Ride, Bond was also designed by award-winning architecture firm Hachem, so the collaboration was easy and aesthetically a great fit. The dim and neutral lighting worked well with Bodhi & Ride’s offering and perfectly complimented its classes and vibe.
The event will consist of:
Rave Ride – a customised beat-based ride class that combines cycling and weights for an all- over body workout.
Deep House Bodhi Flow Yoga – a signature yoga style that calms and strengthens the mind and body
Electric Yin – a slow paced yoga style that focuses on stretching and lengthening, and challenges the body both physically and mentally.
The Bodhi & Ride team is made up of passionate instructors who believe in the power of exercise. They are excited about the prospect of changing the game and introducing an alternative clubbing scene where ‘partygoers’ are on the prowl for an innovative and fun fitness experience, not late nights and a headache!
