Bodhi & Ride is set to transform the wellness and fitness landscape, opening a premium boutique in Port Melbourne featuring a spin chamber with weights and offering unparalleled full-body workouts on bikes, sound-tracked flow yoga classes and a purpose built meditation pod.
The first of its kind, Bodhi & Ride offers a complete mind and body workout, with three architecturally designed studios in one modern, community-focused setting.
Spin Chamber – offering beat-based rides that activate the whole body, the whole time. Our 45-minute Ride sessions are immersive and invigorating set to DJ-sampled playlists that incorporate hand weights to provide an exhilarating full body workout.
Yoga Loft – a stunning IFR heated studio will offer four styles of yoga underpinned by dynamic sequencing of asanas and chilled beats. Each session will be 60 minutes. Yoga styles include:
- Hot Flow Yoga: a hatha style where the room is heated to 32 degrees, focusing on full body strengthening, organ detoxification and stress relief.
- Yin Yoga: a slower paced style with poses held for longer periods of time in 26 degree heat. Focusing on passive stretching, it challenges your emotional and physical stamina and improves flexibility.
- Slow Flow Yoga: combines the two opposing energies of yin and yang, and is designed to create emotional and physical unity. The first half of the class is a dynamic series of poses to improve cardiovascular fitness and muscular endurance; and the second half is restorative and slower, aimed at improving flexibility and emotional surrender.
- Bodhi Flow Yoga: our signature yoga style which will rock your body and mind. Think strong, hot flow vinyasa yoga, add a slightly louder soundscape, candlelights in a dimmed loft and more cathartic elements, so you can lose yourself in your flow.
Unplug Pod – whether you are a complete beginner or have regular meditation practice, the 30 minute guided meditation classes help you take a break from busy lives and hectic schedules to find stillness and calm.
The concept of three studios in one is to provide something for everyone based on what they need from their fitness and wellness regime on any given day with a variety of classes to meet busy schedules.
Bodhi & Ride owner Michaela Fellner has a team of Melbourne’s most experienced and passionate instructors to lead the studio’s Ride classes, take yogis through their flow and guide people through meditation. Having endured a sea-change from a high-powered and pressured job in the banking industry, Michaela always had a vested interest in fitness and wellness, and simultaneously taught indoor cycling and yoga classes while balancing motherhood.
Opening Bodhi & Ride enabled Michaela to follow her fitness passion in order to help others find the perfect outlet, be it physical or mental.
In addition to providing an incredible mind and body workout, Bodhi & Ride have partnered up with Lains & Co to create a Refuel station featuring superfood smoothies and healthy treats with grab-and-go or pre-order options available.
Bodhi & Ride has created a community feel offering a members lounge with complimentary Wi-Fi and tea where people can relax pre and post workout, with plans to host workshops, nutritional seminars and fitness and active-wear pop-ups.
With a stunning design by leading award-winning Melbourne architecture firm Hachem, Bodhi & Ride features state-of-the-art facilities including IFR heating, a high quality sound system, fully equipped shower and toilet amenities with high-end grooming and skincare products for men and women.
Bodhi & Ride offer a range of different passes and memberships including drop-in, multiple class passes, monthly unlimited or foundation memberships which provide unlimited access to all classes per week across yoga, meditation and cycle.
An introductory trial is $20 for three classes. With casual drop-in classes starting at $27 (for yoga or cycle) or $20 for meditation. Bodhi & Ride’s signature style, Bodhi Flow, will launch in March 2016.
