Black Star Pastry has released a limited-edition Cherry Christmas Tree Cake – the perfect centrepiece for any dessert spread. Shaped like a snow-dusted Christmas tree, the cake is filled with layers of festive flavours, producing a refreshing and light dessert to finish off your Christmas feasting. Standing on a puffed rice, candied orange, and milk chocolate crunch base, the cake is layered with lemon and yoghurt sponge, citrus marmalade, praline crunch, cherry compote (with cherry wine), tea jelly (lemon balm, jasmine, rose petal), and a cherry mousse. It’s then cased in a light, white chocolate and vanilla mousse, and adorned with edible decorations.
Standing 35cm high, the cake serves 10-15 people. It is available in Sydney (Newtown, Moore Park and Rosebery stores) and Melbourne (St Kilda store) in limited quantities, for collection on either the 23rd or 24th December.
