Thierry Mugler announces Georgia May Jagger as the new face of ANGEL
Thierry Mugler‘s ANGEL has been given a makeover with the choice of Georgia May Jagger and its new graphic design, departing from its older classic image.
Known for its iconic star-shaped bottle, the ANGEL Eau de Parfum was launched in 1992, Thierry Mugler’s first fragrance. He chose French model Estelle Leféburre to be the first face of ANGEL; she was followed by Jerry Hall, Amy Wesson, Anna Maria Cseh, Bianca Balti, Australia’s own Naomi Watts, and Eva Mendes respectively.
The new ANGEL image reflects timelessness and the “ANGEL effect”, as detailed by the Creative Director of Clarins Fragrance Group, Christophe de Lataillade:
“The ANGEL effect is the metamorphosis of a woman who expresses the different facets of the fragrance: the celesoal facet, which we might even call cosmic, the delicious facet and the voluptuous facet. This effect expresses the universality of youth and speaks to us all in a completely new language.”
The new campaign featuring Georgia May Jagger was created by Norwegian film director and fashion photographer, Sølve Sundsbø. This is only a glimpse of his work for Thierry Mugler, with an “ANGEL music discovery” set to be released on September 23rd.
Thierry Mugler fragrances are available at leading department stores, select retail specialists and pharmacies nationally. For stockists, call (02) 9663 4277.
