Whoever came up with the name Miracle Cushion sure knows how to aptly describe this beautiful new product from Lancôme.
Described as a product that combines make-up results with skincare benefits into a single hybrid product, it’s intriguing right? I’ve been using it for about a week now, and I understand what they mean. It’s not your traditional foundation in any sense. The reason it’s called a Miracle Cushion is because the product formulation is housed in a sponge-like cushion in a compact. You dab your applicator (or you can use your own sponge) into the cushion to pick up the product and dab it on your face. Application is easy and you don’t have to use a lot of product to give good coverage, meaning you can use as much or as little on your face to give the kind of look you’re going for.
The more you add the more coverage it gives and the best thing is that it doesn’t become cakey or look like you’ve got a lot of product on your face. It leaves your skin looking very natural, almost like a second skin. This is where the claim that it is part skincare really does ring true. My skin felt hydrated and soft, like I was wearing moisturiser. Whilst you might be tempted to call it tinted moisturiser it really does more than that as it’s long wearing with great coverage.
I’m really loving using Miracle Cushion. I’ve been using it in all sorts of different environments. In the office where the heating can be drying, it’s been great as it’s kept my skin hydrated and with the rain outside it hasn’t really come off. I’ve also been using it with the Lancôme’s La Base Hydra Glow primer and found that the combination of the two means I can last the whole day at work without reapplying.
