Brighten up your Winter with some new makeup! I’ve been spending some quality time testing out some fab products that I’m excited to share with you! Here are the first of a few product I am in love with right now!
LANCÔME JUICY SHAKER
Revolutionizing the world of lip gloss back in 2000 with Juicy Tubes, the little tubes of perfect colour and gloss for your lips were a must have beauty item for the kit. Fast forward to 2016 and Lancôme have released a new must-have for your lips, the new Juicy Shaker ($34) . In a range of thirteen shades, the Juicy Shaker is a highly pigmented lip oil with a unique lip cushion applicator to brighten your lips. The formulation allows you to add as much or as little as you want to create the colour that you want and because the oil is lightweight, it provides a good amount of coverage when you apply it with the cushion applicator.
I was pleasantly surprised by how much the Juicy Shaker provided nourishment to my lips and kept them hydrated (I am prone to dry lips), especially given I was a bit skeptical how much the oil would melt into my lips and not just come straight off. The other added benefit is that it actually smells heavenly meaning it really does given you a sense of something bright and fun. Mangoes Wild smells tropical and really adds a pop to my day.

L’ORÉAL PARIS FALSE LASH SUPERSTAR MASCARA
Mascara is one of those things that I have a love/hate relationship with. I have found very few that I have loved and that haven’t given me that mid-afternoon panda eye that I loathe so much. L’Oreal Paris’ False Lash Superstar mascara has given me a new found love of mascara and I’ve been happily wearing it day in and day out for the last little while. The primer end, aka step 1, is kinda weird to put onto your lashes given it’s white in colour but it does provide a great base for which to build your lashes when you add the mascara on in step 2.
Definitely make sure you curl your lashes first before applying primer. I found that it’s best to work quickly after adding the primer to add the mascara to build a good length of lashes and to avoid clumping of the mascara. Make sure your mascara brush doesn’t have build up of product before applying to lashes and if you want, you can use a spare lash brush to help to build extra length in lashes before curling again. The formulation is great for not smudging or wearing off during the day, and combined with the liner below, it’s a winning eye combo!
L’Oreal Paris False Lash Superstar mascara ($28.95) is available at Priceline, Chemist Warehouse, selected pharmacies, leading supermarkets and department stores. Visit www.lorealparis.com.au for more information.
L’ORÉAL PARIS SUPERSTAR SUPER LINER
I am a huge fan of liquid liner and whenever I find one that I love, I will stock up like there might be some sort of makeup drought. So it won’t surprise anyone that I have three of these stocked up in my drawers, ready to use whenever the need arises. L’Oreal Paris’ Superstar Super Liner has been one of the highlights of my makeup kit over the last two months. Why? Well it really ticks all the boxes of what you would need in a perfect liner. Firstly, the tip of the liner is paintbrush like, however unlike many others on the market with a similar tip, this one is sturdier yet flexible meaning you can angle it for the perfect amount of liner – thin or thick depending on what you are feeling like, and it is great to create a winged eye. Secondly, it’s easy to hold as it’s not as thin as some similar ones on the market. Finally the formulation is great as it is long lasting and doesn’t smudge after long wear. I can wear this for the whole day and it won’t budge meaning that I don’t end up with panda eyes with this liner. Definitely a keeper in my kit for a long while yet….!
L’Oreal Paris Superstar Super Liner ($24.95) is available at Priceline, Chemist Warehouse, selected pharmacies, leading supermarkets and department stores. Visit www.lorealparis.com.au for more information.
