Collaborations within fashion have always been welcome – Versace x H&M, Stella McCartney x Adidas, Christopher Kane for Topshop – but for the first time, you can be involved in shaping the project.
Iconic label Ben Sherman, celebrating their 50th anniversary, is joining forces with Australia’s own dance-rockers Art Vs. Science to present Open Studio, a fully functional recording studio, giving you the chance to feature on the latest track the boys are working on.
From the 17th to the 21st of February 2014 the Ben Sherman Sydney Arcade store will be transformed into a noise proof bubble and the track will be mixed and recorded live for the world to witness. The song will then be unleashed the following week across TV, radio, Rdio and the world wide web.
If you want to be involved, visit pedestrian.tv/open-studio and in your wittiest 25 words, tell them what sound they’d like to contribute to the track, and the Pedestrian team and Art vs. Science will hand pick 60 contributors who sound like they have exactly what the track needs.
Marketing manager of Ben Sherman, Tim Smith says, “We could not think of a better way to begin the celebrations of our 50th anniversary than with this innovative concept. Music has always been at the heart of the Ben Sherman brand and we are thrilled to be able to present this world first collaboration with Art vs. Science.”
If you think you’ve got what it takes, entries are open now, and will close on the 3rd of February 2014.
