Bahari, the popular Greek restaurant on Swan Street, Richmond, is celebrating its 10th birthday in October with a special feed-me menu and a unique birthday cake dessert. The celebratory menu, featuring customer-favorite dishes from over the past decade, will be available from 8th to 20th October. Guests can enjoy a curated selection of Bahari’s signature dishes, including the famous Slow Roasted Lamb Shoulder and the delicious Orange Blossom Baklava.
Founded by former Masterchef contestant Philip Vakos and his wife Heleena, Bahari quickly gained a loyal following for its authentic Greek cuisine and warm hospitality. Despite the challenges faced by the hospitality industry, particularly during Melbourne’s Covid lockdowns, Bahari has thrived over the years. The restaurant’s combination of expertly prepared dishes and a welcoming atmosphere has cemented its reputation as a must-visit dining destination in the city. In recent years, Bahari has expanded its offerings with the addition of Upstairs, a bar and dining space ideal for weekend guests and private events.
To mark the milestone, the 10th Birthday Feed-Me menu will include a range of beloved dishes such as Baby Stuffed Calamari, Ouzo Cured Kingfish, and Gringlish Birthday Cake, a playful twist on Greek flavors. Guests can enjoy the menu for $75 per person, with a minimum booking of three people.
Reflecting on the milestone, Philip Vakos expressed his excitement about the celebration and the journey Bahari has undertaken. “It hasn’t been easy, especially with the challenges of the pandemic, but it has been incredibly rewarding. We are inviting everyone who has supported Bahari to join us in celebrating 10 years of Greek food and hospitality. Heleena and I look forward to welcoming both familiar and new faces during this special time.”
