The St Kilda festival is one of Australia’s biggest beach celebrations and runs from the first to the ninth of February. Festival Sunday is the main day of this week long festival and attracts all walks of life to picturesque St Kilda.
Sunday attracted crowds of more than 300,000 all flocking to St Kilda to bask in the warm atmosphere that is the annual St Kilda Festival. With live music blaring from the music stages scattered throughout and the sweet smell of food truck vans with specialties from across the globe, patrons were basking good vibrations emitted by this eventful festival.
Across five music stages scattered throughout the St Kilda precinct, the cream of Australian music played their hearts out to devoted festival goers. The likes of Kingswood, The Bamboos, Art Vs Science, Alison Wonderland, Safia, Dustin Tebutt, Oscar Key Sung and Gold Fields all fueled the live entertainment. As well as live music, performances, workshops, events and carnival-style amusements also took place throughout the day.
Appealing to people of all ages, the St Kilda Festival aimed to keep everyone entertained with performances for the kids, extreme sports demonstrations, dance classes, community activities, buskers and as always the bustling street markets.
