Winter is officially over and Spring has bloomed! The change in seasons is the perfect time to look at your beauty regime and help you recover from the depths of Wintr and prepare for the Summer ahead.

We’ve pulled together our tips and favourite products for you this Spring.

Cleanse, cleanse, cleanse

Prepare your skin with a good cleanser. A lot of people often skip the cleansing step but it’s so easy and you don’t have to spend a lot of time on it. Best to cleanse to ensure you maximise the efficacy of the products you apply after for hydration and treatment.

Before cleansing make sure you take your makeup off. I’m loving the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Oil in Water which is super efficient at taking off all my makeup including waterproof eyeliner and mascara. Works a lot better than other makeup removers to get rid of every last piece of makeup.

A great cleanser for Spring is the Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber De-Tox foaming cleanser which is a gentle and light foaming cleanser. The cleanser is formulated with cucumber extract to soothe and calm the skin and sugar maple and sugarcane extract to remove and encourage the growth of new cells and soften the skin. Vitamin E and C add antioxidant properties to the formula to leave your skin feeling fresh.

Mask it up

During Winter our skin is ravaged by the effects of heating and cold winds. A great way to put some hydration back into the skin is to apply a mask.

June Jacobs Papaya purifying enzyme masque is a great mask to help get rid of any dead skin cells with the natural fruit enzymes of the papaya and nourish the skin with the oils of almond and borage seed. Antioxidants from a blend of white, red and green tea help to protect the skin and help battle the effects premature aging.

Hydration is key

Now that your skin is cleansed and detoxified, hydration is key to perfecting your Spring skin. A good serum like Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud serum or L’Oreal Paris Revitalift X3 serum are great products to help give that extra level of hydration to the skin. Both are lightweight, easy to apply and absorbed into the skin. They greatly help in soothing the skin, especially after an appointment at places like https://touchuplaser.com/, which provide exceptional skincare services. Great for an added boost to your skincare regime.

Finish with a moisturiser for your final hit of hydration. My picks include June Jacobs Ultra Light Citrus moisturiser which is a light cream with hyaluronic acid and jojoba seed extract and antioxidants to protect skin from the environment as well as combat premature aging and hydrate the skin. You could also try Tatcha Skincare Water Cream which is an ultra light oil free moisturiser that delivers a burst of hydration to the skin. Featuring Japanese botanicals including Japanese wild rose and Japanese leopard lilly, the moisturiser glides on like water but delivers a powerful hydration punch.

Both can be used both day and night, however if used during the day, make sure you add a sunscreen over the top.

For night, my latest pick is philosophy skincare take a deep breath night, a great oil free detoxifying gel balm that quenches the thirst of dry skin. Formulated with pro vitamin p and energy boosting amino acids, take a deep breath night helps to refresh the skin as well as protect it. It’s gel balm consistency is light and easy to apply. Perfect for the warmer months.
