Travelling with a lot of beauty products in your luggage can be a pain. They not only take up space but they take up a chunk of your luggage allowance which may be the difference between that pair of shoes you’re eyeing at a boutique and an excess baggage fee at the airport! The trick is to work with multi purpose products that will provide you with all you need on your trip. Here are some of my favourites.
IT Cosmetics Your Skin but Better CC Cream – I cannot live without this miracle product. Not only does it provide great coverage (you can build it up to increase the coverage), but it also protects you against harmful UV rays with SPF50+, contains a primer, provides hydration with deep moisturising properties and helps with an anti-aging serum. Available in the original formulation, oil-free and illuminating, you only need this one tube for your day to day face. I also like to take this on-board and apply a thin layer prior to landing so I look alive when I get off the plane. The CC cream now comes in travel size so no excuses!
NARS Laguna & Orgasm Duo – This is definitely one of those products that is useful not just for travel but for your handbag or for your makeup kit at work. It’s got the cult blush and bronzer colours that work with almost all skin complexions and comes in one handy compact. No need for multiple products, this is your go to for your makeup kit.
Mecca Hydra Cheek Tint and Illuminating Balm duo – This nifty Mecca product is a godsend for giving you a bit of colour if you’re in a rush to look alive (trust me!) and it’s also really useful to add to your travel kit. If you don’t want to take a bronzer then this product is all you need for your beauty kit. The cheek tint is super easy to apply to give you a nice healthy glow but I also like to use the cheek tint on my lips to give it a bit of colour (so you don’t have to carry a lipstick). The illuminating balm is also great to highlight key areas of your face with minimal effort.
La Roche-Posay Anthelios Wet Skin Sunscreen – If you’ve ever used the La Roche-Posay Anthelios sunscreen you know it’s a great product. Absorbs well and is not greasy. Well this is the next level of sunscreen from La Roche-Posay as you can apply this straight onto wet skin and it does its job. You’re protected from the harmful effects of UVA and UVB with broad spectrum SPF50+ and because of the new technology in the formulation it provides up to four hours water resistance. So you’re continued to be protected in the water and it’s so easy to apply on wet skin which is perfect for anyone who doesn’t want to wait to dry before reapplying your sunscreen. I used this on my recent trip to Sicily and found the formulation was great to apply, absorbed easily and it didn’t leave my skin feeling greasy. Definitely a great one to pack for a trip to the beach!
Biolage All-In-One Coconut infusion – This lightweight spray is an all-in-one product which means you only need one product on your holiday to protect and perfect your hair. The All-in-One Coconut infusion spray smells heavenly and you just need a few spritzes on towel dried hair to help hydrate and nourish hair. It’s also great to protect against heat damage and the drying effects of the environment. I also love that it’s vegan, contains no parabens or sulfates. It smells heavenly and after a day at the beach, I found that this really helped to keep my hair healthy and hydrated.
