Beauty junkies across Melbourne are gearing up for the launch of the biggest Mecca Maxima store ever, with the impressive 400 square metre large-format space set to provide a beauty-full new and interactive shopping experience.
Opening on Thursday October 13 as part of Chadstone The Fashion Capital’s major development, customers will be treated to MECCA’s largest ever offering, with a host of new brands, interactive digital elements and Mandarin-speaking team members. Over 60 of the world’s most-wanted beauty brands, including MECCA exclusives NARS, Too Faced, Urban Decay, Smashbox, Billion Dollar Brows, Ciaté London and Eyeko will be available for makeup lovers to stock up on, alongside new brand additions frank body, Drunk Elephant, Winky Lux and K-Beauty brands Chosungah 22 and 16Brand. Mecca Cosmetica favourites Sunday Riley and Surratt will also make their debut into the Maxima concept upon launch.
Technology is set to be a big feature of the expansive new store, which has been created by interior designers Red Design – the team responsible for producing the Maxima store look and feel customers know and love. A permanent ‘flawless light’ selfie station will allow shoppers to snap a selfie or GIF, before using the touch screen display to add a filter and a range of beauty-themed digital stickers. A communal makeup play station, complete with touch screens, will also play step-by-step how to videos, with customers able to trial products featured in the videos in-store as they watch.
Select brands will also be hosting customer activations within the new immersion space, with Melbourne-based skincare company frank body commencing activity from launch day. The new Mecca Maxima Chadstone opens Thursday 13 October, 2016.
