We couldn’t think of a more fitting way to kick off our fashion week video series than by spending some time with two of the country’s most prolific fashion identities. From decking out the late Princess Diana in an oversized Blinky Bill emblazoned knit to providing the opal print that featured heavily in Karl Lagerfeld’s first ever collection for Chanel, Jenny Kee is one of the most iconic figures to grace the Australian, and international, fashion stage. She describes fellow designer Linda Jackson as her “soul sister”, and this year’s fashion festival sees the duo re-imagine their Flamingo Park boutique at Melbourne’s NGV as part of the fashion week cultural program. Our presenter Jasmin Howell from Friend In Fashion spoke to Jenny Kee and Linda Jackson about their inspiration behind their designs, the state of Australian fashion today, and the makings of both a lasting friendship and business.
