Thankyou Group, the social enterprise behind Thankyou Water, has introduced new products to its Australian-made premium body care range that funds life changing hygiene and sanitation projects in developing nations. Each Thankyou Body Care product goes directly towards one person in developing nations like India, Myanmar, Laos and Bangladesh receiving hygiene and sanitation, with the aim of empowering local communities.
“When we first launched the range in July of last year, we hoped it would be a success. One year on, the positive response we’ve received from customers has been incredible and sales have far exceeded our expectations and those of our retailers. It’s due to high demand that we’ve expanded the range with these new product and that’s really exciting” says Thankyou Group co-founder and Director of Brand and people, Justine Flynn.
“Through this range, we have the opportunity to provide everyday Australians with the option to buy products that not only look and smell beautiful, but also fund hygiene and sanitation for the world’s poorest and most vulnerable. Meaning we’re all able to play a part in tackling this global issue through a simple purchase – something that has not been seen in this product category. Essentially, it’s a win-win”.
Joining Thankyou’s popular hand wash and lotion is the new Thankyou Body Wash (RRP $7.99) in Botanical Mint and Spring Flowers and Botanical Sweet Orange and Almond, both containing natural ingredients and free from nasties such as parabens, artificial colours, mineral oils and harsh chemicals. Each body wash contains botanical extracts and delicate scents to nourish and sooth the skin. Its hydrating formulation is suitable for all skin types.
Another addition to the range is the new Botanical Orange and Almond Hand Cream (RRP $5.00), formulated to ensure your hands are treated to a therapeutic daily ritual leaving your skin soft and smooth.
Also joining the body care range is the new Goats Milk and Lemon Myrtle soap (RRP $5.00), Antibacterial Hand Sanitiser in Eucalyptus Mint & Lemon and Lime & Grapefruit (RRP $3.50 for 50ml and RRP $7.00 for 200ml). The sanitiser has a fresh fragrance and ingredients that will leave hands clean and protected.
As a social enterprise, once the costs involved in creating its range of quality products are covered, Thankyou Group ensures every remaining cent funds life changing projects in the developing world. Consumers can track their impact using a web app accessible through a smartphone or computer. By entering the unique code on their Thankyou product, customers will be provided with detailed information on the project they’ve helped to fund, including GPS coordinates. Upon the project’s completion, a personalised report including a photo of the final project can be provided to the customer.
Thankyou’s Body Care products are available in selected Coles, Woolworths supermarkets as well as IGA, FoodWorks, Foodland and other independent stores.
