Pink Hope is Australia’s only hereditary health charity, helping to support families with hereditary breast and ovarian cancer. On Friday 26th September, Pink Hope encourages everyone to come together and make their pout count by wearing bright pink lipstick and making a promise to kiss and tell, to start a conversation about their family’s hereditary health.
Bright Pink Lipstick Day has already garnered the support of Australian supermodel Jessica Hart who has created an exclusive lipstick for Bright Pink Lipstick Day through her newly launched brand LUMA by Jess Hart cosmetics and recruited her sister Ash Hart.

“I’m personally thrilled to announce LUMA’s association with Bright Pink Lipstick Day and Pink Hope. Bright Pink Lipstick Day is all about raising awareness of hereditary disease. We want to ensure all Australian families are talking about their family health history. Without starting a conversation, many families can often be left in the dark when it comes to their future health.”
In addition to Jess and Ashley, several well known celebrities have thrown their support behind this event including Jesinta Campbell, Lisa Wilkinson, Laura Csortan, Natalie Gruzlewski, Kyly Clarke, Elle Ferguson and Tash Sefton from They All Hate Us, and Nicole Trunfio.
With the support given by celebrities and alike to promote awareness, the personal stories of survivors and those that have been affected by breast and ovarian cancer are also really important in understanding how these devastating diseases affect our community and helps us to understand how important awareness of these cancers are.
