Luxury handbag and accessories label Oroton presented its first ever apparel collection at MBFWA 2012. Featuring a similar colour palette to past Oroton ranges, the new ready-to-wear range is an answer to luxury basics and staples with an edge. Highlights to the range include the hero plaited rope print available in colours such as an electric blue that is reminiscent of a vintage luxury Versace of the nineties. The strong gold detail and palette is also indicative of the Oroton signature.
The collection was inspired by Creative Director Ana Maria Escobar’s South American Heritage and as such featured vivid blues, pinks and oranges that were offset by cool tones of beige and stone. An interesting colour pallete that sets a great base for the inaugural collection. Oroton also teamed up with Moda Operandi buyer Taylor Tomasi Hill who styled the show and Style.com photographer Tommy Ton.
Anything with the hero plaited rope print is a must for every wardrobe however many pieces were extremely wearable and would give a welcome kick of luxury to any home collection. A fantastic use of materials also imprinted the high quality we have come to expect from Oroton. Definitely worth the investigating!
