Felix, Huw and Aaran are finally getting their homecoming for Vanishing Elephant. August sees the locals open their first flagship store in Sydney since the inception into retail two years ago.

Westfield Bondi Junction have welcomed the guys back home, and Kelvin Ho and the team Akin Creative created what can only be described as sparse. The shop fitting comprises simply of polished concrete floors and a wooden framework.

In arguably the biggest and busiest shopping center in Australia, V.E and their team have curated the stock to bare minimums. The entire collection plus in store exclusives and one-offs sit next to only a select index of stock. Makr and Tailfeather leather goods line the shelves alongside incense of the West, Buddy and Jack Purcell shoes, Pink LouLou jewelry Pared eyewear and Triumph & Disaster soaps.

In true Vanishing Elephant style, the retail space goes beyond just a platform for purchasing from a labels bricks and mortar. The store and retail team offer an experience not readily found elsewhere. Much like the older brother store at QV, Melbourne, walking in is akin to walking in the front door of a holiday house or a cosy cottage. It’s clear there was a reason for the wait in Sydney.

The doors are finally open in Sydney for Vanishing Elephant as the label goes from strength to strength. Off the back of their first runway and two years in Melbourne at their QV outpost, Vanishing Elephant deserve the warm welcoming back home.
