Vanishing Elephant’s debut at MBFWA featured a party like atmosphere, fitting for the brands tailored street aesthetic. Their Spring/Summer range centered around two broad ideas, one tailored in terms of its construction and the other more free spirited and liberated.

Garments were constructed from sand washed silks, oiled cottons, merino wools and lightweight cotton voiles, giving the collection and interesting feel and dimension. Key print stories ran through both the men’s and women’s range tying the pieces together. Tie dye, big polka dots and hawaiian print added a quirky element.

Layering was order of the day, with separates easily able to be mixed and matched to create different looks depending on your mood.

Womenswear took on an almost masculine edge with pants and shorts featuring in most looks. The menswear was based around a lot of print, which is great for guys trying to find standout pieces. Lines were tailored but in a relaxed manner, making the clothes perfect for weekend lounging.
