Jayson Brunsdon celebrated his 10 years in fashion with a collection that proves why he’s still an eminent designer on the Australian fashion scene. The Spring Summer 13/14 collection, Obsession, showcased a myriad of black, white, silver and green, muted with delicate beading, brocade and sequins.
The first model illuminated the runway in an ivory crepe and silver lace dress over a silver skirt. The aptly named ‘Marquesa Dress’ demonstrated a true understanding of womanly elegance with a touch of luxury.
The silver and ivory theme continued throughout the show. Sometimes as a beautiful base to contrast stunningly brilliant black sequins on a bolero or jacket or against black shiny vinyl or crepe skirts.
Ruby and emerald dresses were also on show, showcasing Jayson’s understanding of how great tailoring does make the difference by simultaneously highlighting and flattering your body shape. The emerald silk sequin georgette dress was a highlight.
With a front row of who’s who in entertainment it’s definitely not hard to see why he continues to innovate and define Australian fashion.
