Couturing reviews Autonomy’s latest round of offerings for Autumn/Winter 2013 on the cusp of the labels 10th birthday, a massive collection and the news of a new sub-brand just in time for LMFF.
The winter collection strays from the usual basic V’s and scoops synonymous with Autonomy. The made-in-Melbourne collection spans from combat boots and winter knits to checkered trousers, tipped-collar shirts and a denim range. In every seasonal colour and shade, the Winter collection is the most comprehensive yet, a trend we are starting to really see among Australian labels.
The collection is very much based on updated classics, peppered with modern pieces like paneled drop-crotch pants and puffer vests.
With layering in mind, each and every piece can be paired countless ways. Think tipped collar shirts with a vest; jacket and puffer vest with slim fitted check trousers.
Camo even makes an appearance in the collection, proving it’s going nowhere fast. Whilst military styling and colour blocking play their role too, with paneled jumpers and Army Green pieces paired with combat boots. The collection offers something for everybody and draws elements from each and every seasonal trend.
Considering this is one of Autonomy’s largest collections, the label recently announced that they have begun developing a high-end brand under Autonomy Collective that will coincide with the LMFF and the onset of Autumn/Winter.
Online and in-store soon, A/W 2013 is sure to impress. Keep posted to Autonomy and Couturing.com for more news on Autonomy Collective and the collection.
